The story of Irena Sendler is a film conceived and directed by Andrzej Wolf.
The film is based on unique and exclusive interviews with heroine, which were recorded and shot during the last days of her life.
In the film, MS. Sendler tells her story of saving the lives of the poorest children improsoned behind the walls of the Warsaw Ghetto.
She recounts the complex and life-risking procedures of giving the children new identities, falsifying their documents, ways of smuggling them outsine the confines of the Ghetto and ultimately finding these children relatively safe haven in Polish home and families.

The story is depicted using film resources from Polish, U.S. and Russian archives, and is supplemented by feature film sequences, in which Irena Sendler is played by Sonie Bohowiewicz.
