Saturday: from horror to documentary

náhled C D1

Saturday festival program started at 10 a.m. with competing block C. Today there were many viewers in Portyc, even after exhausting Fridays night. But the hall was full at afternoons block D. Jury and viewers had a chance to follow films from all around the globe (for example Poland, Israel, Hungary and Columbia). All together animated, fiction and documentary films were thrilling thanks to great range of their artistic solutions and themes. It feels like that students, in their works, often interested in questions of life and aging, conflicts between the past and present or person and society. For example Polish students sent to Pisek very interesting historic films, among genres we have also found terrifying horror for Lithuania. It looks like audience were most excited about Hungarian documentary about elderly house titled “2nd floor”, however final decision is on jury.

Thank god, we are going to get their verdict tomorrow at the closing ceremony at 7 p.m, in Portyc cinema.
